Vamos Afuera: Busqueda de Hongos y Taller de Podar

Para esta aventura, exploraremos la hermosa preserva de Ocean Song, aprenderemos como apodar arboles frutales, disfrutaremos del bosque mixto de roble y secuoyas, buscaremos hongos para aprender más de ellos y así saber cuales se pueden comer y cuáles debemos evitar y luego disfrutaremos de un almuerzo juntos.

• Le pediremos que firme una exención de responsabilidad

Dificultad: La Caminata será fácil, con poca elevación

Sobre el área: Ocean Song es un lugar verdaderamente especial con 800 parcelas de bosques robledales, praderas costeras, suelos serpenteantes, y un jardin que benificia a los polonizadores, aves, y los humanos por igual. 

Ubicación de caravana: Bayer Farm 1550 West Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95407

Debido al estacionamiento limitado en la reserva, les pedimos a los participantes de este evento que nos reunamos en Bayer Farm a las 8 am para compartir transportación a la reserva.

Por favor de ser puntuales para poder aprovechar el día—la caravana hacia la reserva saldrá a las 8:15 am el Sabado 24 de Enero, 2026.

Qué Traer: 

• Su propio almuerzo, botana y agua
• Ropa Cómoda
• Botas o zapatos impermeables que se puedan ensuciar
• Una navaja pequeña para cortar los hongos
• Una canasta o bolsas de papel para cargar los hongos

Qué proporcionará LandPaths:

• Gaban para el agua por si hay lluvia

Description: 

For this adventure, we will explore the beautiful Ocean Song presrve. We will learn how to prune fruit trees, enjoy the beautiful oaks in search for mushrooms, learn the differnt types of mushrooms, distinguish if they are edible or not, and then enjoy lunch together.

Bring the whole family to learn about the wonderful world of mushrooms!

Details: 

• We will ask you to sign a liability waiver
• We ask for pets to stay home
• We will stick as a group, we will get to the preserve together and leave together
• Please read all of the details to obtain all necessary information

Difficulty: The hike will be easy and only a bit of elevation towards the end.

About the area: Ocean Song is a truly special place with 800 parcels of  oak groves, coastal meadows, winding trails, and a garden that benefits polinators, birds, and humans.

Please be punctual so that we can enjoy as much as the day as we can—we will caravan towards the preserve at 8:15 am on Saturday January 24th, 2026.

What to Bring: 

• Lunch, snacks, water
• Comfortable clothes
• Hiking or walking shoes that you don't mind getting dirty
• A pocket knife to cut the mushrooms
• A basket or paper bag to carry the mushrooms

What will LandPaths Provide:

• Rain panchos in case of rain
