 Nature’s Bounty: An Edible and Medicinal Adventure  

Fairfield Osborn Preserve

Sunday, March 31st, 9am-1pm

  

 

Join Landpaths staff and Fairfield Osborn Docents for an introduction to the various native plant communities of Sonoma Mountain. Become familiar with the vast amount of nutrition, healing, and joy that can be found in wild spaces. We will discuss the benefits of protecting the various native plants that also call Sonoma County home. Through field exploration, we will learn about the edible and medicinal landscapes around us. Information shared on edible plants will be for educational purposes only.

Location: Fairfield Osborn Preserve, Penngrove 9495. Due to limited parking, we will be arranging carpools to the preserve. More details will be sent upon registration.  

What to bring: 

  • Sturdy boots or shoes for walking 

  • Snacks & water  

  • Field gear- binoculars, field guides, etc 

Details and what to expect: 

  • Registration is required 

  • We will stay together as a group & leave together.  

  • You will be asked to sign a liability waiver upon arrival. 

  • No pets or smoking are permitted, and absolutely no smoking pets! 

  • In case of rain- What if it's raining? Any steady rainfall beyond sprinkles will call for cancellation. If in doubt please call (707) 544-7284 (then press 1) after 6 AM on the day of the outing. If there is no special message the event is on!
