Ever since the Glass fire burned down the original garden at Rancho Mark West, LandPaths' volunteers and staff have been working to bring it back to its former glory. We need your help to continue this work! The garden is the beloved center of our summer camps at Rancho Mark West, where campers go to harvest seeds, learn about growing organic vegetables and flowers, and find peace amongst the plants. Please join us for a monthly garden day to keep the plants growing and the soil healthy. Everyone is welcome!
About Rancho Mark West
Rancho Mark West, a 120-acre community hub, outdoor classroom and protected open space preserve in the Mayacamas Mountains, has been stewarded by LandPaths in partnership with Jim and Betty Doerksen since 2011. LandPaths has held environemntal education field trips and nature camps here since 2013.
For the day, please bring:
- Water to drink and your own water bottle.
- Food and snacks for yourself and your family
- Garden gloves, if you have them
- Sunscreen and hat for protection
Does rain mean the workday is cancelled? The stewardship workday will move forward if there is a light drizzle, but a torrential rainstorm will cancel. Please call 707-544-7284 (then press 1) after 7am the morning of the stewardship day if the weather feels questionable. If you don't hear a notice of cancellation on the outgoing voice message, the stewardship day is moving forward.

La reserva Rancho Mark West es un centro comunitario de 120 acres, un salón de clases al aire libre y una reserva protegida de espacio abierto en las Montañas Mayacamas, que ha sido administrado por LandPaths en asociación con Jim y Betty Doerksen desde 2011. LandPaths ha realizado campamentos y clases de ciencias aquí desde 2013.
Para el día de jardineria porfavor traiga:
- Agua para beber y tu propia botella de agua.
- Comida y snacks para ti y tu familia
- Guantes de jardín, si los tienes.
- Bloqueador solar y sombrero para protección.

¿Qué pasa si llueve? No cancelaremos con llovizna ligera, solo se cancelará con una lluvia torrencial. Llame al 707-544-7284 (luego presione 1) después de las 7 a. m. de la mañana del día si el clima parece cuestionable. Si no escucha un aviso de cancelación en el mensaje de voz saliente, le esperamos en Rancho Mark West.
