Pond Day at Rancho Mark West!
06/13/2025 09:00 AM - 02:00 PM PT
Description

Celebrate the beginning of summer with us at Rancho Mark West! Come on out and help us prepare the pond for summer camp swimming and canoing by getting out on a canoe yourself to remove azolla and other invasive plants! Or rake up from the shore!
Plus, food, swimming and water games, and maybe even turtle sightings! This event is family friendly and open to participants of all ages.
Register at the link before June 12!
WHERE: Rancho Mark West Preserve is located at 7125 St. Helena Road, Santa Rosa. From Calistoga Road, turn right onto St. Helena. Rancho Mark West is a few miles down on the right, past the old tree farm.
About Rancho Mark West:
With accessible pathways and proximity to Santa Rosa, Rancho Mark West is our outdoor classroom, community hub, and wild place of refuge in the Mayacamas Mountains, 20 minutes from downtown Santa Rosa. This property is protected by the voters of Sonoma County who funded Sonoma County Ag+Open Space's work with a quarter-cent sales tax, in partnership with LandPaths and the Coastal Conservancy. Rancho Mark West is located on the ancestral home of the Wappo people, past, present, and future. We recognize them as the first people and the first stewards of this land. We are on occupied territory and acknowledge the ongoing devastation of colonization.
