Created especially for younger kids and their caregivers, Let's Read Outside is a free, summer adventure centered on reading and art! All kids in attendance will receive a free book! LandPaths will provide snacks straight from our garden to promote healthy eating habits. Everyone will get to make a special craft inspired by the story of the day. We'll provide all of the craft supplies! This is a bilingual event, with book readings in English and Spanish. Please register at the link below so we know that you are coming!
Where:This event will take place at Jeff's Community Garden, 3399 Moorland Ave. Santa Rosa, CA 95407.
What to bring:

Anything that will make you and your child comfortable.

Your own reusable water bottle and snacks

Comfortable walking shoes and clothes that can get dirty

Special Note: If you have books that your child has outgrown, or simply wish to donate some children's book to the program, please bring them with you to this event! These books will get redistributed at future Let's Read events at Bayer Farm.

You will be asked to sign a liability waiver upon arrival.

No smoking or pets allowed in the garden.

¡Leamos Afuera! Creado especialmente para niños de 0 a 6 años y sus familias/guardianes, Leamos Afuera es una emocionante aventura literaria al aire libre para comenzar bien el fin de semana. ¡También recibirá un libro gratis para agregar a su colección en casa! LandPaths proporcionará bocadillos directamente de nuestro jardín para promover hábitos alimentarios y saludables. Los niños harán una manualidad o actividad especial que acompañará la historia del día. ¡Te proporcionaremos todos los materiales! Este es un evento bilingüe, con lecturas de libros en inglés y español.

Que Traer:

Lo que ocupe para estar cómodo.

una botella de agua reusable

zapatos y ropa cómodos que se puedan ensuciar

Favor de notar: Si tienen libros con temas de la naturaleza que sus hijos/as ya no usan y quisieran donarlos al programa pueden traerlos a este evento. Usaremos los libros para regalar en las próximas sesiones de lectura en el jardín.
Resumen de actividad:

Una hora y media de diversión al aire libre y lectura en voz alta. Al fin de la lectura los participantes se llevarán un libro para agregar a su colección.

Les pediremos que firmen un acuerdo de liberación al comienzo del evento.

No se permite fumar en el jardín ni traer a sus mascotas.
