Peak Energy Hike + Flow at Bohemia Ecological Preserve

Description

Step into the magic of Bohemia Ecological Preserve and challenge your body and recharge your spirit in this 3-hour outdoor experience blending hiking, and mindful movement. We’ll begin with an opening circle and warm-up before tackling Bohemia’s steepest climbs together—we will be power hiking and motivating each other. At the peak, we’ll flow through Animal Flow-inspired movements and yoga to build strength, mobility, and flexibility, set against the preserve’s stunning natural backdrop. We’ll end by hiking back down together, group reflection, and circle stretch to seal the journey.
 
 
Difficulty: Intermediate to Advanced Movers ready to push their limits in community.
Distance: Approximately 3-4 miles
Elevation Gain: 800 - 1,500 feet
Other details:  
  • The hike will be led by volunteer Docents Alok and Kenergy.
  • You will be asked to sign a liability waiver upon arrival.
  • You will receive a confirmation email upon registration. If you do not receive an email then you are not registered for the outing. 
  • Upon registration you will receive an email with the exact location, driving directions, and parking information.
  • 3 days before the outing you will receive a reminder email with the same information. 
  • Please note that there are no dogs or smoking/vaping allowed. 
 
What to bring:  
  • Water
  • Light layers
  • Trail shoes
*****Please arrive on time so that everyone has adequate time to stretch properly before the physically challenging portion of the outing.*****

Cancellations:  We will make every effort to let you know ahead of time if the outing gets cancelled and we would really appreciate a message from you if you need to cancel as well. These outings often have a waitlist.
Will we cancel if it rains? A light drizzle won't stop us, but we'll cancel if it's a heavy downpour. We'll email you if we cancel. You can also check back on this post; it will say "CANCELLED" if the program is called off.
