Sobre el area:
Mountaintop properties like Lafferty Ranch are rare. Acquired by the city of Petaluma in 1959, Lafferty Ranch is a 270-acre ranch and the only public property near the summit of Sonoma Mountain overlooking San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean, with views of Mount Tamalpais, Mount Diablo, Mount St. Helena, and Hood Mountain. Visitors can enjoy panoramic vistas, groves of venerable oak and laurel trees, and a tranquil perennial stream. Located near the summit of Sonoma Mountain (on the Petaluma side), Lafferty encompasses 270 acres and is home to the headwaters of Adobe Creek, which is why the property served as a source for the city's municipal water system until 1992.
