It's LandPaths' 25th anniversary!
We are celebrating all year long, including the making of a special film. In addition to filming this stewardship work day's events, a local videographer will be hosting a "Story Booth" throughout the day, and we want to hear from you! We invite and encourage you to share memories, stories, and reflections about your experiences with LandPaths. Our team will provide prompts and questions to support your storytelling.

Our beloved Rancho Mark West was hit hard by the Glass Fire last year and we saw high tree mortality. Many of the dead trees had to be logged since they posed a risk of falling. Now that the forest is safe to enter we can lend Rancho Mark West a hand and get the site ready for Owl Camp. This work day will be a little longer than our usual workdays because there are a lot of things to do to prepare for summer camp. Please come on time.
Tasks for this workday: During this workday, we will be preping the site for Owl Camp. We will be doing trail work. Having well kept trails will reduce erosion on the hillslopes and allow easier access across the preserve. AND if you are interested in jumping in the water or kayaking around the pond you can help us in the afternoon to remove Azolla from the pond.

Where: Rancho Mark West; 7125 St Helena Rd., Santa Rosa
What to bring:
• Your own water and snacks and a backpack to carry them in
• Face mask, hand sanitizer, work gloves and sturdy shoes/boots. Hat, sunglasses, and long-sleeved pants and shirt recommended.
• We will provide some tools, but bring your own if you have them: particularly useful tools include shovels, hard rakes, and pitch forks. No power tools please!

• You will be asked to sign a liability waiver.
• There is a restroom and potable water at property.
• Dogs or smoking are not allowed on the property

If plans for the workday have been changed, we’ll leave a special outgoing message. Otherwise, the workday will proceed as planned.

Dia de Conservación del 25 Aniversario en Rancho Mark West

Nuestro amado Rancho Mark West fue duramente afectado por el Glass Fire el año pasado y vimos una alta mortalidad de árboles. Muchos de los árboles muertos tuvieron que ser talados ya que presentaban riesgo de caída. Ahora que el bosque es seguro para entrar, podemos echar una mano a Rancho Mark West y preparar el sitio para el Campamento Búho.
Durante este día de trabajo, estaremos preparando el sitio para el Campamento Búho. Estaremos haciendo trabajos de senderos. Tener senderos bien cuidados reducirá la erosión en las laderas y permitirá un acceso más fácil a través de la reserva. Y si estás interesado en saltar al agua o hacer kayak alrededor del estanque, puedes ayudarnos por la tarde a sacar Azolla del estanque.

Que traer: • Su propia agua y bocadillos y una mochila para llevarlos
• Mascarilla, desinfectante de manos, guantes de trabajo y zapatos / botas resistentes. Se recomienda sombrero, gafas de sol, pantalón y camisa de manga larga.
• Le proporcionaremos algunas herramientas, pero traiga las suyas si las tiene: las herramientas particularmente útiles incluyen palas, rastrillos duros y horquillas de inclinación. ¡Sin herramientas eléctricas, por favor!
