Our beloved Rancho Mark West was hit hard by the Glass Fire last year and we saw high tree mortality. Many of the dead trees had to be logged since they posed a risk of falling. Now that the forest is safe to enter we can lend Rancho Mark West a hand. 

Tasks for this workday: During this workday, we will be creating small burn piles from the branches that have been left from the salvage logging.

Where: Rancho Mark West; 7125 St Helena Rd., Santa Rosa

What to bring: 
• Your own water and snacks and a backpack to carry them in
• Face mask, hand sanitizer, work gloves and sturdy shoes/boots.  Hat, sunglasses, and long-sleeved pants and shirt recommended.   
• We will provide some tools, but bring your own if you have them:  particularly useful tools include shovels, hard rakes, and pitchforks. No power tools please!

Details, Details:
• You will be asked to sign a liability waiver.
• There is a restroom and potable water at property. 
• Dogs or smoking are not allowed on the property

If plans for the workday have been changed, we’ll leave a special outgoing message. Otherwise, the workday will proceed as planned.

Nuestro amado Rancho Mark West fue duramente afectado por el Glass Fire el año pasado y vimos una alta mortalidad de árboles. Muchos de los árboles muertos tuvieron que ser talados ya que presentaban riesgo de caída. Ahora que el bosque es seguro para entrar, podemos echar una mano a Rancho Mark West.

 Durante este día de trabajo, estaremos crearemos pequeñas pilas de quema de las ramas que quedaron de la tala de salvamento.

Dónde: Rancho Mark West; 7125 St Helena Rd., Santa Rosa

Que traer: • Su propia agua y bocadillos y una mochila para llevarlos

• Mascarilla, desinfectante de manos, guantes de trabajo y zapatos / botas resistentes. Se recomienda sombrero, gafas de sol, pantalón y camisa de manga larga.

• Le proporcionaremos algunas herramientas, pero traiga las suyas si las tiene: las herramientas particularmente útiles incluyen palas, rastrillos duros y horquillas de inclinación. ¡Sin herramientas eléctricas, por favor!
