*Each time slot is limited to 15 participants. There will be no gathering between family groups. One group at a time will be oriented to the preserve and each group will explore woods for their tree on their own.*
Bring your family to Riddell, outside of Healdsburg, to find your non-traditional Christmas tree for this holiday season. LandPaths welcomes you for a very special opportunity to find solace in nature alongside others in your community (from a safe distance!), as we work together to heal - both ourselves and the land. Harvest a free Christmas Tree and help our fire reduction work at Riddell at the same time! Folks will be invited to remove Douglas fir in an area of the preserve where thinning is necessary for stewardship of the land. Participants will be able to take home a Doug fir for their Christmas tree! You are invited to harvest as many trees as you like. Lots of different sizes available and while these are NOT manicured trees like you may purchase at a Christmas Tree Farm, they are filled with meaning and love. In harvesting this tree, you will have helped fire reduction work for this land at the same time! Trees are free but donations appreciated :)

Please call 707-544-7284 (then press 1) after 8am the morning of the event if the weather questionable. If there is no cancellation notice, the event is on.
Once you register for your time slot, you will receive an e-mail before the event with details and directions to the preserve.
People will need to hike at least 1 mile to the area where we will be harvesting trees. Trees are off-trail on uneven ground and poison oak is present throughout harvest zone. You must carry your tree back to the parking area. This is not a manicured tree lot!
LandPaths will have saws and gloves to borrow, but please bring your own if you have them.
What to Bring:
Snacks & water
Sturdy boots or shoes that can get muddy
Long pants recommended
Work gloves (we have extras)
Hat and sun screen
Face mask and hand sanitizer
Hand or bow saw (we have extras); please no power tools
Tie downs or rope to transport your tree

You will sign up for a particular time slot. Please arrive within your time slot. You do not have to leave within your time slot.
Hike in to site is 1 mile. Harvest site is wild forest with poison oak throughout.
You will be asked to sign a liability waiver.
No pets or smoking are permitted.

¡Desplácese hacia abajo hasta el final de esta página para registrarse! El evento puede cancelarse si hay fuertes lluvias. Llame al 707-544-7284 (luego presione 1) después de las 8 am la mañana del evento si el clima es dudoso. Si no hay un aviso de cancelación, el evento comienza.
Una vez que se registre para su horario, recibirá un correo electrónico antes del evento con detalles e instrucciones para llegar a la reserva.
Las personas deberán caminar al menos 1 milla hasta el área donde estaremos cosechando árboles. Los árboles están fuera del camino en terrenos irregulares y el roble venenoso está presente en toda la zona de cosecha. Debe llevar su árbol de regreso al área de estacionamiento. ¡Este no es un lote de árboles bien cuidado!
LandPaths tendrá sierras y guantes para pedir prestados, pero traiga los suyos si los tiene.
Que traer:
Botanas y agua
Botas resistentes o zapatos que pueden embarrarse
Se recomiendan pantalones largos
Guantes de trabajo (tenemos extras)
Sombrero y protector solar
Mascarilla y desinfectante de manos
Sierra de mano o arco (tenemos extras)
Por favor no herramientas eléctricas
Cuerdas para transportar tu árbol

* Te registrarás en una franja horaria en particular. Llegue dentro de su franja horaria. No tiene que salir dentro de su franja horaria.
La caminata al sitio es de 1 milla.
El sitio de cosecha es un bosque salvaje con roble venenoso por todas partes.
Se le pedirá que firme una exención de responsabilidad.
No se permiten mascotas ni fumar.
