You're invited to this scenic exploration at Lafferty Ranch, Petaluma! We'll hike a trail through the beautiful forest and watch the reserve's meadows glow as the sun sets. We'll have the opportunity to use binoculars to appreciate the views of the valley and as far as the horizon allows. We'll also participate in a decorative and artistic activity throughout the outing. Come and be a part of this special program where we combine nature, art, and sunset viewing. This fun and relaxing walk is for the whole family.

Be a community scientist! Help us learn more about the species that live on this preserve. This information will be added to our preserve's species list and will help information management decisions and educational opportunities in the future. During this day, we will catalog as many species as possible for this preserve. Naturalists and nature-lovers of all experiences and ages are welcome. You do not need to have previous experience with species identification or iNaturalist. Our staff will teach you how to use iNaturalist and how to identify a variety of species. iNaturalists' robust audience of naturalists and its AI image analysis software can also help us with some of the more difficult classifications that our staff can't identify.
