As a participant in Land Partners Through Stewardship (LandPaths) Outings, Volunteer or Internship Programs, I hereby release LandPaths from all liability, including liability arising from theft or any act of negligence or want of ordinary care on the part of LandPaths and/or any of its agents or employees. In consideration of my participation in the above stated outing sponsored by LandPaths, I waive, release, and discharge LandPaths, directors, officers, employees, agents, and members, their representatives, heirs, executors and assigns for any and all claims of such liability, including claims relating to injury or damage from any cause whatsoever to me or my property arising out of my participation. This agreement is binding upon my executors, heirs, and assigns. I intend this to be a general release and expressly waive any rights I may have under California Civil Code 1542 which states: “A general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his favor at the time of executing this release, which if known by him might have materially affected his settlement with the debtor.” I agree that I will indemnify and hold harmless LandPaths, its directors, officers, employees, agents and members against all claims, demands, and causes of action, including court costs and actual attorney fees, arising from any proceeding or lawsuits brought by me or prosecuted for my benefit, relating to this release. I acknowledge that I have read this Release of Liability and understand its contents.
