You are invited to experience the land as you help tend the pollinator and habitat garden at Ocean Song-Myers Preserve, which is home to dozens of plant and animal species! 

Activities depend on the season, and might include pruning, mulching, mowing or other seasonal needs. Your abilities will guide the task!  Volunteer land stewardship days like this are the best way to experience Ocean Song Preserve, which is closed to public access. The day will be led by LandPaths' wonderful volunteer garden steward Jan Lochner.

Join us at the beautiful Rancho Mark West Preserve near Santa Rosa. We'll get a close look at what happens on the forest floor and around the pond after winter rains pass & the sunshine helps the seedlings to make their way out the ground and into the world. Come and be part of this special program where we combine nature, a little gardening, and curiosity.
Families who have members with mobility impairment and or are neuro-divergent are more than welcome to register. We look forward to seeing you and your whole family!

Working to restore these biodiverse ecosystems by removing non-native, invasive plants (aka plants out of place) and collecting native grass seed helps bring our grassland back into balance and learn more about them in the process.

Join us for a Heart Walk at the beautiful Bohemia Ecological Preserve on Saturday, March 16th - a unique gathering that weaves together meditation, community connection, and the healing presence of nature.

Have you wished you could visit beautiful Lafferty Ranch without taking a long hike? This is the outing for you!

Join us for a photo exploration of the beautiful Bohemia Ecological Preserve! We’ll hike on trails through native coastal prairies and mixed conifer forests while covering the basics of outdoor photography using your smart phone, pocket camera, or DLSR.

Fast paced and hands-on, this two day course covers a wide range of wilderness medicine topics for people who travel and work in the outdoors. This course is pre-approved by such organizations as: the American Camping Association, the United States Forest Service, and other governmental agencies. It may also be used for wilderness medicine recertification by those with previous training from WMI of NOLS.

Join volunteer docents Emily Wolf McMane, a certified Forest Therapy Guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT) and Lindsey Dyer, outdoor educator, for a Forest Therapy Hike at Bohemia Ecological Preserve. Forest therapy is based on the Japanese practice, shinrin-yoku, which can be translated as "forest bathing” or “taking in the atmosphere of the forest.” Walks typically last 2.5-3 hours depending on the number of participants. While this walk is not a hike, we will be traversing some rocky and steep terrain, so please prepare for a moderate difficulty level. Participants are welcome to bring a bag lunch. There will be time at the end of the experience to picnic by the creek. These walks are appropriate for adults and older teens. Please find other arrangements for small children and pets.
